  1. Hi — I visited the lovely garden last week and would like to make a donation to the endowment. Can you tell me

    a) how to do so online?
    b) whether the family, if successful in buying the property, will maintain public access to the garden?
    c) is there a link to the family fundraising effort?

    Thank you!

    1. Hello Gilia, I’m just learning workpress and how to update this website. Thank you very much for your support! Yes, the Kerr family successfully purchased the property, closed at the end of July. We are thrilled to be able to keep it open to the public! Yes, we’re fundraising…. I’ve updated the website since your message and have been able to add a PayPal link for credit card donations. As I learn how to update the site, I’ll have current sightings, what’s blooming, what’s going on in the buildings, etc. Lots of great news coming in 2024! Thank you so much for you interest in its preseravtion. See you soon.

  2. Hello,

I would like to come for a visit.
Is your wisteria blooming now or finished? Do you have water lilies or lotuses in the pond?

    Thanks!!

    Mikiko Flynn

    1. Please do come! It is a beautiful time of year. The wisteria is still blooming. The pond has water lilies and is also home to a delightful group of salamanders.

  3. I once lived near this garden. I loved sitting under the Wisteria and am curious to know if it is
    still growing there.
    Thank you.

    1. Dear Colleen,

Yes, the wisteria is still growing and providing a lovely space to site at the upper parking lot.

    2. Yes, it is still there. The most beautiful little grotto I have every seen.

  4. Gorgeous gardens! I must agree with previous commenters however, that the website is very difficult to read. Please change to black print on white!

    1. I am super baffled that there is no address to this park! I don’t even see a city listed other than a PO Box in Portland.
Seems like really the most basic of information if this is something open to the public. I seem to have scrolled through it all…am I just missing it?

      1. Hi Julie,

The address is listed (with a map link) under “Directions” near the top of the front (“Welcome”) page of this website.
